Anne-Marie Chagnon has created sculptural and expressive jewellery for women that, like her, distinguish themselves by their spirit of independence. Her collections inevitably lead to temptation and satisfy the weare's desires of self-expression and authenticity. This remarkably talented artist continues to surprise by her rich creativity.
Having studied Visual Arts at Université du Québec à Montréal, the jeweller possesses unique know-how combining a variety of artistic practices that find their expression in her works. Endowed witha richly abundant imagination, Anne-Marie Chagnon shapes materials by instinct while creatingcoherent works: chiselled pewter, sheer glass, luminous resin, sumptuous 22 carat gold, and magnificent copper take on their full meaning between her hands, primitive, sensual and joyfull. These materials almost seem invented for her. The shapes, sometimes raw, minimalist or playful, cleverly interlock with one another.
To date, a number of prestigious creative institutions recognize the depth of her artistic approach and the quality of her know-how. Among them, Le Cirque du Soleil, for which she created jewellery for a decade, as well as many important museums around the world. The artistic quality of her work has earned her recognition from her peers and from important figures in the world of fashion and design, such as Jean-Claude Poitras and Iris Apfel. By placing the quest for authenticity at the heart of her work, she has created a distinctive signature that is both local and world-renowned.
