Karen was born in Toronto, but now resides in Haliburton. Karen has been a professional floral and horticulturalist for 15 years, which in turn has influenced her painting style. Her painting features strong colours, pure themes and expressive forms.

Karen has taken several painting related courses. She has studied watercolour with Marsha Stonehouse, as well as attending faux finishing course and life drawing courses at the Toronto School of Art. Karen feels completely at home behind the lens as she photographs subjects for her painting.

 Pop singer Prince owns one of Karen’s works, as well as the Steam Whistle Roundhouse Brewery.
